Welcome to the site of Tourisme Baie-Sainte-Catherine Tadoussac Charlevoix!

The Tadoussac-Baie-Sainte-Catherine region is composed of little villages well hidden at the feet of the mountains, at the confluence of the Saguenay and the Saint-Lawrence River.

With its strong historical roots, Baie-Ste-Catherine is the place where colonization got its start in North America, the very cradle of the New World, thanks to the alliance concluded in 1603 at the Pointe-Aux-Alouettes in Baie-Ste-Catherine between the Montagnais, the Algonquins, the Malicites and none other than Samuel de Champlain who offered the help of his military against the Iroquois against the right to populate the area.

Baie Ste-Catherine

Sand Everything in this region is exceptional, from the little lake in the heart of the village of Tadoussac to the many century old houses, from the sand dunes to the majestic Saguenay Fjord, unique in its kind, last relic of the passing of a gigantic glacier more than 10,000 years ago.

Tadoussac-Baie-Sainte-Catherine is the doorway to the Côte-Nord (the North Shore), and the impressive bay where it lies got the region the right to become part of the Club Select des Plus Belles Baies du Monde (The Most Beautiful Bays of the World Select Club).

For more than a century already, the Tadoussac-Baie-Sainte-Catherine region has had the reputation of being a most preferred tourist area in North America, and it greets thousands of visitors each year.
